What brand and model of radar detector should I buy?
I want to do a radar detector, but I do not want to pay more. The range is between $ 30 to $ 400. It is a model of Cobra, the 757 I think that covers all bands and Lazer has stealth detection VG2 and VG2 and detects also Ku band, which will be used in USA soon .. It seemed as $ 100. Is there a better value? Do I need a more expensive unit? I Do Care alerts strobe lights emergency vehicle, a compass or unit to talk .. No whistles and bells .. just a radar detector. thank you!
For me, the best of your radar detector is the BEL group 955 to $ 179 RadarBusters.com. The BEL 955 is not the best but it is certainly up there with radar detectors from the 3 [Escort 8500 X50 ($ 300), BEL RX65 ($ 329.99), and Valentine 1 ($ 400)] I personally have a BEL Vector 995 ($ 270) and Valentine 1 ($ 400) and is only a small difference in detection range. I like both detectors it because of its unique features. The BEST radar detector is relative to the features you need info or ….. There are 5 radar detectors with equal performance in several respects and will save you tickets contrary to what some will tell you. The Top 5 radar detectors are (in no particular order) the: BEL RX65 BEL STi Escort 8500 X50 Escort 9500i Valentine 1 I personally use the Valentine 1 as well as the BEL vector 995 both have saved me when it is a huge fine for police radar. However, for laser treatments you really need a laser disturb (illegal in some countries) I use laser jammers Blinder M20 laser and interception in my Volvo Lasershield plate. For those who say that a radar detector is a ticket notifier obviously do not have experience with a level detector. Ask any of my friends on vacation in my car. My two detectors sniff out cops easily and give me a lot time to slow down when going between 10-15 mph over the limit. For the test results of nearly all laser jammers and radar detectors …. Ive noticed that there are bands 5, 6 bands, 15 bands, etc., etc., but What exactly that. Is it more of the best bands or what? I am also thinking of buying a Cobra XRS 979. If anyone has information on this id appreciate it.

ways to divert the power cord to a radar detector to slip through my head unit when connected?
I just bought a Cobra radar detector and I am a little perfectionist. It bothers me that the cord extends through the windshield of the main unit and the cigarette lighter. I need ideas on how to connect the detector, because it needs to be connected to work, but not the cable from the weather. thank you
Mount a switch at his peak. Run forward in the power cord from the sensor is not under the edge of the headliner and down on the driver side windshield (which should be able to remove the plastic pillar and run the cable behind it.) Cut the cigarette lighter plug off and wire in the fuse panel to a 12v power source (which is lit when the car crank) (radio, etc..) Who makes the radar detector in power when the car is to crank off when you stop the car. I wired all mine like this and never had any problems with any of them.

Not sure what ghost, but it probably means pop K-pop, which is a form of radar gun, the same thing with VG2. Unfortunately, radar guns Arent only thing that will trigger alerts, all I can say is read the manual that accompanies it.

Autozone one for $ 50.00, anyone know if it's worth spending the money because the price of radar detectors, others more in the range of 100.00-400.00? It's called Whistler / Radar detector. To what extent does it work? What is the difference between the whistle and voice? Thank you for any help.
