Then there is the time and money for the actual conference. Once there you may or may not get enough value to consider it worth your time and money. This has been the traditional method of earning continuing education units/credits (CEUs) over the years. There has to be a better way.

The time and money savings really add up. Time and money saved that would have been spent at the airport, rental car place, hotel, etc. Money and time that used to be spent can now be invested in more rewarding things like your family and your practice.

If they are approved by the NBCC, there should be a provider number accessible on their website. Even though this approval covers most states, some states are not. Do your homework and know what your state board accepts.

The course list would be a smart next step in your evaluation. Ask yourself, “Does this provider have all of the courses I need to fulfill my requirements?” Not only is it more convenient for you to attain all of your CE in one place, but you can usually get better pricing as well. If the provider has all of the courses you need now, that’s great. Go one step further, do they have enough courses to meet your needs next renewal and so on. Take this time as an opportunity to grow and develop beyond where you are now. Another tid bit on the courses. Check to see that they are sourcing their information and that the sources used are well accepted.
