How do I know if my radar detector is running, and remains a good place?

I recently bought a Cobra ESD 7330, and were mounted under my windshield, which is 360 degrees of protection, but to see through my back seat, I must be in the middle windshield. Does the sensor need to physically go there, or continue to be able to detect? Also, I had for 2 or 3 weeks and not once met a policeman, although I saw some, however, it caused an alarm when I go to work because of our security system, but it is the only place? It will not alert me even close to the shore .. Is it working?

Firstly, this is not a detector Police is a "radar" sensor. Only identify the agents when they have their radar gun. You should be well placed under the detector. Having a radar detector is best placed under K and Ka. It is a little worse for the laser, but is difficult to detect in the first place. You must have no obstruction directly in front of her, but their support should not hurt much. A radar detector is a tool. It's not all going to keep track detected by the police and fined for speeding. Just learning to use it to your advantage.
