Speeding Ticket in ca?
I received the speeding ticket in CA on dumbarton bridge right after crossing the toll which speed limit is 55. I was merging in the lanes after paying the toll i am not sure on my speed but right after merging the lane i saw the cop driving behind me with the lights on and he told that i was speeding and i was on 72 as i was not even 1/2 mile away from the toll bridge, in merging lanes there is no way i can be on that kind of speed. Cop asked me to show my license and gave me the ticket as this was my first ticket and i didn’t knew what to do, i signed the copy and took one copy from the cop, after coming home i found he wrote 82 per hour, i don’t know now what to do and what steps i should take. i have clean records i never drive over limit and today even speeded to merge in the traffic which was changing from 5 lanes to 3 lanes. I tried proffing my point couple of times to th officer related to merging in the traffic did this made him angry. How can i proof my point any advice
i would recommend calling a court and talk to a judge. If the police can PROVE you were speeding by a radar detector then you have to pay the ticket…I would argue this ticket if it were up to me. Since you live far away I recommend going to a judge in the courthouse where you live and see what information they can tell you…You will probably have to schedule an appointment before talking to the judge.

how can i get someones driving record?
i would like to get a copy of a persons driving record, to see if they have had any automobile accidents in the past. can you tell me how or where to go and find it? this is in california.
Legally, you can not. A driving record is the property of the licensing agency and is therefore not public record, and can only be disclosed usually by consent.
May I suggest the courthouse? That is public information, and you have a constitutional right to browse there as you please almost (you can NOT view sealed/destroyed or minor cases, and personal info like addresses and such may be restricted). You may have to pay a fee if you wold like a hard copy record, however.
