How I can fight my speeding? HELP?

I have a speeding ticket a few weeks ago because I was going 54 in a street 40 mph. It is my first post and I'm 18. I go to court next week to fight against the bill because my insurance through the roof and I can not let this on my record. My problem is that I know I was speeding and got caught with a radar gun .. but is it possible that the judge was going to buy my appeal to emotions? Could say I ran out of gas and had to go to a gas station? What about traffic school? By my way live in Illinois Please help … I really can not afford to have this on my hard … Thank you … Would you be able to do for school traffic when you arrive at court?

Sorry. You were too speed, and stayed. You only have to pay. I know sometimes you can make a plea for a lesser charge, such as defective vehicle, but now all the insurance companies know it is really a speeding charge you extra for that too.
