Contacting police officer issued speeding tickets?

Well I live in MO, but go to school in RA. I visited the friends in Kansas City and was issued a ticket on my way back to school. Can I pay my gas and insurance and I am a student university. You can not afford to have this ticket on my record. I would love to go to court, but is 4 hours and I really do not want to driving that far. I wonder if I can call the officer who issued the ticket? if I can what are the chances for it to drop the ticket? Need advice …. if Please!
