I got a underage drinking ticket in NC. what will happen in court? Im scared!?

I was in North Carolina on vacation last week. i met some people and they took me and my friend to a party. We made sure before hand that we would have a designated driver. I had like 2 beers and then we left because we had to get home. The driver had not been drinking, but was distracted by everything going on in the car so he was swerving. The cop pulled him over and said she smelled alcohol and breathalized all of us in the car. I just turned 18 and i blew a .05. i dont live in the state of NC and now i have to drive back to court there. my record is clean so far. the officer told me to ask for defered prosicution whe?n i get to court. what will happen?

If the judge grants you deferred prosecution then s/he will dismiss your charges after a certain amount of time if you don’t mess up during that time, the judge will give you the conditions. If you aren’t given that option then you’ll probably just have to take a class and pay a fine. You’re not gonna go to jail for this, I’m almost sure of that.
