Why isn’t my speeding ticket showing up on my driving record?

I live in Louisiana and received a speeding ticket for doing 68 in a 50 around June ’09. I just viewed my driving record online and nothing is showing up. It says I have no accidents or no records on file. Why isn’t it showing up? I’m not complaining, but I always thought that it went on your record!
You are exactly right! The highway I was driving on is the prime spot to find cops with a radar.

A lot of jurisdictions, particularly speed trap types like Louisiana has so many of, don’t send a record of the ticket to any of the databases if you pay it right away. They’re in it for the income.
