I’m driving to Montreal, Canada, to stay for two nights. I had a DUI 14 years ago. This is a two part question. First, will the Canadian officials ask me about my driving record? If I don’t divulge this information, can they find out?

Part one, yes they can find it so be up front about it.

Part two: If it was your only criminal offense and it was 14 years ago you are eligible to be “deemed rehabilitated”. You don’t need to make an application but you should check with an embassy be sure.
