How long do traffic violations and fix it tickets stay on your driving record if you live in California?
Most correctable violations (fix-it tickets) are not reported to DMV, provided they are corrected. A chart of which violations are assigned points are listed at the following website:

Major traffic violations, usually counting as two points, stay on your record for 10 years (including DUI, reckless driving, hit and run, failure to appear, failure to pay, etc).
