WHY does the search box on YAHOO IMAGES record history?

The search box of Yahoo images is recording history of all my searches, when I clcik on the box for a new search all the previous search terms pop-up..its driving me CRAZY.
How to clear it?????

Its probably because your internet options has the box checkes where it states that u want it to save the searches. If u are using firefox just go on tools, then options and then on save forms in privacy, uncheck the box. I dont know how it would be like on Internet explorer.
