Background checks, DRIVING RECORD…?
So I just got a new job as a nanny, they are going to do a background check on me. I’ve never been arrested or anything bad like that. Here are the things I’m worried about them seeing, and I’m wondering if these are the kinds of things that will make them not hire me. I also met the kids, spent the day with them, they LOVE me, and I was recommended by my current employer (also nanny) for this job, the moms are very good friends.
*My car registration is suspended (no money to get it registered right now, but they have a car I will drive the kids in and I won’t be using mine)
*A traffic ticket I paid and didn’t go to driving school for.
*An accident, the only one I’ve ever been in. (She knows about and said was fine)
*Not the best credit.

I think as long as you take good care of the kids while they are in your care and truly have the childrens best interest in mind, they will love you as a nanny. But, please, don’t think of it as just a job, when you are a nanny, you are half way filling in as a parent. Love them babies! They need it and deserve it!
