Best speech to fight my ticket. an unmarked car was on my ass for 10 minutes going 90 in an 80, then we caught a bus going 80 exactly. so till i could pass (20 mins) he was on my ass, and i was keeping my distance from the bus. when I can pass I do. He then clocks me going 116 in an 80 giving him room to follow me passing the bus as well. he had started anyway, so I had to. thats BS! I want to fight it. ideas????? Thanks

Im sorry, I thought it was actually a good thing to fight something I and many others feel is wrong. speeding tickets are a cash cow, plain and simple. but just like photo radar they too will soon be gone.(all we have to do is speak out)

I Got a speeding ticket in Georgia going 72 in a 45 = 27 over the limit. My court date is in like 2 weeks, I have already attended a State defensive driving course. This was my first driving offense I’m scared to death of getting my license suspended.
I’m a full time commuter college student and I drive a significant distance to work. I understand how wrong and dangerous speeding was. I’m not posting this question so that someone can tell me I deserve to have my license suspended. I understand that by law my license will be suspended when I go to court.
I’m looking for any suggestions on how I can possibly save my license from being suspended.
Again I’m looking for help, not condemnation, I already feel horrible anyway.

You probably can’t entirely avoid having your license suspended. You can TRY to request ‘restricted driving privileges’. Basically, you would be asking the court to allow you to drive back and forth to school and to work, but no where else. I would not be surprised if they reject the request, but I think that is all you can ask.

Is there any way to test a radar detector? (Please don’t suggest speeding past a cop,ect)?
The owners manual says that if it turns on, it is functioning properly, but I’m a little skeptical of that.
Honestly the best thing to do is just drive around with it on. Of course don’t speed! Also a radar detector is not a cop detector, it only detects a cop when he/she is operating radar.
So drive around with it for awhile get use to where it falses and such. After a while you will get very use to the detector and know when you can trust it.
