If my license is suspended in FL, can I get one in California?

I was born and raised in FL, and got several DUI’s. I just moved to California in April, and was hoping that I could get another license. Some people tell me they can’t see my driving record from Florida, and some people tell me they can. I am a student now in California, and making awesome grades, no drinking in about 2 years, and have completley turned my life around. I am only 26 years old, and hoping that I am not going to have to go without for the rest of my life. Please help.
