Getting the drivers liscence but had my permit stolen?

I recently moved from France to California, but before living in France I lived in TN and got my permit when I was 15, anyways two weeks before I move to California 2 racailles French steal my wallet with all my ID etc. INCLUDING my permit (reported it to French authorities but don’t think it will do much)….now when I go to the DMV will they have it on record in Ca that I had a permit in Tennessee or will I really have to re-do the driving with parents for half year????

Your TN permit would not have been recognized in CA even if you hadn’t had it stolen. You will need to start over in CA. See http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/new_driver.htm
