Hi, well I got a ticket last night, for driving without my license on me. I didn’t have my number memorized, so now i don’t know whats going to happen, can anyone tell me how much the ticket is going to be for? Or, if it’s going to be a point on my driving record? Please help, thank you.
Im in California, nothing is on the ticket but the court date.

Typically you can go to the court that has jurisdiction (where you’re supposed to appear, such as the town or county of the offense) and prove your license was valid at the time (easy: show it to them!) and they will probably waive the ticket and charge a small court/processing fee such as $10. Nothing on the record, no court, nothing. No on remembers their DL number (I do but that’s another story) but people forget them sometimes when they run a quick errand or something. If you weren’t a total douche to the cop you’ll be fine.
