How Do You Get a Noise Violation Without Knowing It?
I just got a speeding ticket yesterday (and I was speeding, so no dispute there). However, when the cop was running my license he said that there was a warrant out because I had gotten a noise violation a year ago.
I have absolutely know memory of how that happened-I don’t listen to music loudly, I don’t have one of those stereo things, and during the month that it happened, I was only in the country or about four days of it.
Even if it did happen, how did it get on my record without someone telling me? The car I had to have been driving was not in my name, so wouldn’t I have to have received some notice about this or what?
This could be a simple mistake that was made by a police officer where someone might have called your car in or they got the wrong plate number wrote down.
Its best to contact the police department and ask to see the ticket so that you can verify the signature on the ticket if there is one and at the same time verify the information about the car….
