2 speeding tickets, each from a different county in IL. Can I take supervision for both?

My driving record was totally clean until I received a speeding citation in July in Menard County. I was given the option of requesting supervision for that citation but have not yet called in to request it. I received another speeding citation just a few days ago (end of September) in Tazewell county. How should I best handle this situation? What are my options? Can I accept supervision for both? Or should I try to take supervision for one and show up to court for the other? Is there anything else I can do to prevent these from negatively affecting my otherwise clean driving record?

Supervision? You mean diversion. Since you didn’t request it for the first one, now that you have two, you won’t be able to do it for either. Diversion is basically, probation on the condition you keep your record clean for six months to a year the ticket and points go away. Since you failed that, you have two tickets within a year on your record, and you’ll be getting a letter from the DMV that will tell you to attend defensive driving course.
