Driving Record Drop Off

Would you pay to have your kid picked up from school and dropped off at a place of your choice? Yes? How much?
I am a young women, just out of college, and I am already at a no-pay no-gain job… with that being said, I have been looking for other ways to make a living. So here is my question, would you pay to have a person pick up your child from school/ after-school program and drop them off at a location of your choice. If so, how much would be a reasonably price per week, and up to what age would you do that for your child. I was picked up from school up until 10th grade… then had my own car. Like I said I am a young women, so I think I’d be ok with the HS students picking them up- better then their grandma! lol. Of course consider that I have a clean driving record, and would have the insurance ect. to cover any mishaps…
I think this is a great idea for a business, depending on where you live. For pricing, you’ll need to figure out several things. How many miles do you get per gallon of gas? Will you need additional insurance? How far are the schools from the residential areas? How many kids can you carry at once? Do all the schools get out at the same time and how will you schedule this?
My kids hated to ride the bus, and so I always took jobs with flex-time so that I could pick them up from school, drop them at home, then go back to work, but I would gladly have paid for someone else to do this. We live in a rural, small town, but I would have paid about $5-7 a trip ($25 – 35 per week) for the service. I would assume that in more affluent areas, people would pay more.
Good luck, and you should be proud of yourself for showing this kind of initiative.
