Points on your driving record?

I’ll be looking at a getting a newer car before too long. I’ve never been in an accident but have been pulled over for speeding/moving violation a few times. I can think of 2 speeding tickets that I paid and points were applied to my record. That was about 4 or 5 years ago in Michigan. I read that points “fall off” your driving record in MI after 2 years. Anyone know if insurance companies go off points or whether or not you have any negative activity on your record?

To my knowledge any negative activity. Like you said tickets or anyhting else that would be moving violations. Also any license suspension and revocations I believe. I think 5 yrs ago is ok They go back 3 yrs. I’m in TX
