Does the use of the alternator of the car running on gas to auxiliary equipment?

I am traveling and I would use my cigarette lighter to multiple accessories such as GPS, cell phone charger, radar detector, portable charger and a portable DVD player. To use All these accessories through my lighter adapters, the alternator on my car to use some of my gas too? "The use of cars gas generator in normal form? If yes, how much gas is used? Were there any disadvantages of using these accessories, while using a divisor of the cigarette lighter? Thank you!

Technically, the alternator is powered by gas, but it is not bad. The alternator is an independent unit which is bolted to the engine.
