Will a misdemeanor affect me not getting my RT license?

I get a wet n’ reckless last year I got my license back and its the only thing on my record! I’m trying to get into an RT program BUT they said that a wet n’ reckless is still considered a misdemeanor and some clinical sites won’t take me and if by stroke of luck I get to go through the program to take the test for my license I would still have to present my court papers! COURT PAPERS! I got a year suspension (finished) 6 weeks DUI classes since I was under 21 I didn’t have to do more (finished). I’m scared because I have everything riding on this school because its the only one where I’m not on a waiting list. Seeing as everyone in California is getting slapped with DUI’s (My wet n’ reckless is only driving under 21 and having a wine-cooler)
I need some reassurance that a stupid mistake isn’t going to ruin my life
