Will paying for defensive driving for an Arizona speeding ticket keep my insurance rates from rising?

I have the option of paying for defensive driving instead of paying for the ticket I received for speeding, however, it will be a few dollars more. It will obviously prevent points from going on my record in Arizona, but I do not live in that state and do not plan to move there. Would it be worth it to take defensive driving or just pay the ticket?

You’ll need to check with your state DMV. I’m not sure defensive driving in a different state would apply to an out of state ticket. You’ll want to double check that, or else you’ll have to take the course in Arizona.
