I bought a radar detector. Cobra XRS-9430 I have a few quesions detectors?

I bougth the Cobra XRS-9430. The detector works very well. The alarm stops and says it all at once; X Band. Ku-band. K Band. The Ka-band – Wideband (Ka) Radar is sometimes just after you see a police officer or Highway Patrol. My question is: what each of these codes mean, so I have a good understanding when an alarm sounds. Thanx a lot guys. Carson

Radar bands (frequencies) are not used exclusively by the police. At the opening of doors in supermarkets (detectors movement) use the same band (frequency) like the X-Police band.
